Data & Cybersecurity Systems Engineer

We are looking for a Data & Cybersecurity Systems Engineer to join our team and contribute to cybersecurity and engineering projects across space, finance and other security-critical industries.

This position can be full-time or part-time, depending on the candidate's experience and availability.

You will work at the intersection of customer needs, systems engineering, cybersecurity, data technologies and our core technology.

We value people who are technically strong, curious and comfortable working across different topics when needed.

What you will do

  • work with customers to understand and formalise technical and operational needs;
  • translate customer needs into requirements, technical specifications and system architectures;
  • contribute to engineering documentation, including architecture, technical specifications and security analyses;
  • understand our technology in depth and help define how it integrates into customer systems;
  • contribute to topics related to cybersecurity, digital trust and trusted data, including data provenance, traceability, data stewardship, cryptographic solutions (PKI, DLT, …);
  • participate in technical research, technology assessments and R&D activities related to our core technologies;
  • work closely with our software and engineering teams to turn technical concepts into deployable solutions;
  • contribute to project coordination.

What we are looking for

We are looking for someone with a strong engineering mindset who enjoys understanding complex systems and solving multidisciplinary technical problems, able to manage several topics in parallel and to contribute across different domains and project types.

Ideally, you have:

  • an engineering degree or equivalent background in cybersecurity, computer science, systems engineering, data science or a related field;
  • at least 3 years of relevant professional experience, with demonstrated technical maturity and autonomy;
  • experience with systems engineering, requirements engineering, architecture or technical integration;
  • a good understanding of cybersecurity concepts;
  • an interest in data trust, distributed systems, cryptography, data provenance, AI systems or related technologies;
  • a pragmatic mindset, with the ability to move from high-level concepts to concrete technical implementation details;
  • the ability to understand software architectures, APIs, deployment constraints and development workflows;
  • the ability to write clear and rigorous technical documentation;
  • the ability to interact directly with customers and technical partners;
  • strong analytical skills and the ability to learn new technologies quickly;
  • professional proficiency in English;
  • due to the sensitive nature of some of our projects, candidates must be eligible to work on projects subject to European security, export-control or security-clearance requirements. EU citizenship may be required for certain projects.

Experience in space, aerospace, defence, finance or other highly regulated / security-critical environments is a plus, but not a requirement. Hands-on experience in software development or technical prototyping is highly appreciated.

Working in our team

The role has broad technical exposure and may occasionally involve contributing outside your immediate area of responsibility, whether on a customer project, a technical investigation, a proposal or an internal initiative.

We are looking for someone who is autonomous, pragmatic, collaborative and comfortable switching between deep technical work and broader project needs.

You do not need to be an expert in every technology listed above. What matters most is your ability to understand complex technical concepts, learn quickly, switch between topics when needed, and translate ideas into practical solutions for real customer problems.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and benefits package;
  • Extended teleworking possibilities;
  • Multiple professional development opportunities;
  • Opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies for the space and finance industries, and in a fast-paced environment.
